SAIB Aseel offers, Phase 1 journey

Promo code MVP agreed on the reset call, 2 September 2026. Styled on the live Aseel marketplace screen Habeeb sent on 3 September.

What the user does

Where the look comes from

Colours, card shapes, the grey information panels, the tag pills and the Slide to Redeem control are taken from the live Aseel marketplace offer detail screen. That screen is a desktop web layout with a left sidebar. This prototype keeps the same visual language but lays it out mobile first, which is what Raouf asked for on the call. The sidebar becomes a bottom bar with the same four destinations: Home, Offers, Brands, Profile.

Arabic, added 14 September 2026

The toggle in the header switches the whole walkthrough, not the captions alone. The Arabic build is a full right to left layout: the back arrow, the Slide to Redeem control, the bottom bar, the form labels and the receipt lines all mirror. Two things deliberately do not translate. Promo codes stay in Latin characters and are direction-isolated, because the cashier types them into a Latin field in his own point of sale. Merchant entered content, outlet names and offer titles, renders in whatever script the merchant typed, per SAIB-R29. Open question for the bank: Arabic-Indic or Western digits for codes, dates and percentages. That is decision 15 in the BRD.

Single sign-on

Flow 3 shows where the bank's integration sits in the journey and states its real status. Merit's half is built and documented. SAIB's half has been open since July 2025, so every demonstration to date runs on a VPN-gated magic link with one hour validity, which is an internal review path and is never shown to a SAIB customer. Corrected after the 14 September alignment call: the SSO is a SAMA requirement and it gates go-live and UAT for Phase 1 as well. Without it the marketplace is view only. What Phase 1 removes is the scan and the point of sale integration, not the SSO, and it lets everything except the switch-on be finished in parallel.

The bank sign in screen, added 21 September 2026

Lamya asked for a sign in screen for SAIB customers, who arrive from the bank app. Flow 3 now opens on it. The screen is SAIB's: the bank owns the credentials, the session and the look, Merit builds nothing on it and stores no password. It is in the walkthrough so the audience sees where authentication happens, because Phase 1 deliberately has no Merit login screen at all. Everything after it runs on the identity the bank hands across.
