Merit x PIF · Demo v2 plan · v1.2, 28 Sep 2026 · internal, for Brian, Tamer, Albadarneh, Izzeddin

PIF demo v2: show the Merit Engagement Engine PIF runs its programmes on, not another offers app

On 25 Sep Julie called the current demo a good start that is too narrow, and said it reads like Resal or Walaa Plus. This plan rebuilds the session around Merit as the orchestration engine. It gives the flow in presenting order, what each scene shows and why, today's demo next to the new one, and what is real today.

Plan only, nothing built yet · Owner: Brian · Builds on COM-1171, COM-1172 · Work-tree node: merit-id · v1.2 folds in the Brian x Tamer call, 28 Sep

What changed after the 28 Sep call with Tamer, Albadarneh and Izzeddin

01The shift in one view

Today PIF sees an employee app with its logo on it. Next time PIF sees its own currency, its companies selling through it, and the same offers reaching buyers outside PIF.

The session walks this picture from left to right. Today's demo shows only the top-right box. Tamer's wording applies: the engine displays and orchestrates value. It does not store value.

02The flow, in presenting order

Eight scenes, in person. The deck carries the story. The prototype runs in scenes 1 to 4 and part of 6. Click a scene to jump to it.

Why this order. It is the order Brian proposed on the call, and nobody objected: frame, PIF sets up its programmes, companies onboard, employees and family, products sold on Al Fursan. PIF buys the engine, so the engine comes first. The employee journey proves it works. Revenue comes last because that is what PIF wants to leave with. Today's demo runs the other way, employee first, and that is why it read like Resal.

The frame

Presenter · deck

What we present

  • The diagram from section 1, in Arabic and English.
  • One sentence: "PIF runs its programmes on the Merit Engagement Engine. Its companies sell through it, first to PIF employees, then to the Kingdom."
  • Phase 1 (PIF employees) is labelled as the POC inside that picture.
  • The difference from Walaa Plus in one line: they aggregate offers; Merit runs the programme and the marketplace.

Why

  • JulieMerit is the orchestration engine, not an employee-offers app.
  • CallAlbadarneh: "Walla one is just like offers aggregation." Julie's main concept is how Merit differs.
  • CallTamer: call the engine the "Merit Engagement Engine", with Super Platform as the interface in front of it.
Before

No frame. The demo opens straight on an SMS to Ahmad. The only framing line is in the BRD: "One identity, every program. This is Merit ID."

The viewer first meets Merit as a phone app. That is the Resal comparison.

Super Platform, the control center

PIF programme team · prototype

What we present

  • The PIF account on Super Platform, PIF-branded: every programme PIF runs, in one place.
  • The four products that exist today, active: LMS, the innovation platform, e-commerce, Travel Shop.
  • Tiles labelled "coming": employee engagement, rewards portal.
  • PIF assigns departments to programmes.
  • Each tile opens the next scene, so the prototype reads as one product.

Why

  • CallTamer: "your control center to see every different program that you want to run at PIF in a central place. And they're all interconnected."
  • CallAlbadarneh: Julie does not want one product, "we want to show them a product that has everything in there."
  • CallTamer: "they can assign up departments to programs."
Before

Not in today's demo. Super Platform, LMS, innovation, e-commerce and Travel Shop do not appear. The demo "doesn't touch LMS" (Brian, on the call).

PIF sets up its programmes

PIF programme team · prototype of LMS

What we present

  • PIF names its points (working name "Tamayuz Points") and sets their value against SAR.
  • Tiers and membership: for example Member, Gold and Platinum.
  • A funded points budget, split by department.
  • A campaign: how many points an action earns, for a set period.
  • Language set to Arabic, with English as the second language.

Why

  • JuliePIF creates its own points and currency; multi-language, multi-currency.
  • PIF askedTiers, membership.
  • CallTamer: "You can set how much your points are. You'd be able to maybe create specific campaigns."
  • SAB lessonThe employee marketplace stalled when points stopped. The budget answers "who funds it" before PIF asks.

A PIF company onboards

Ceer's marketing lead · prototype of Seller Portal

What we present

  • Ceer onboards itself in the Seller Portal. Say that Merit can also do it for them.
  • Ceer uploads merchandise and a Ceer gift card first, then an offer.
  • A long-term item and a time-limited one, side by side.
  • Redemption: a unique QR code per employee.
  • Audience: PIF employees only, or also outside channels (sets up scene 6).

Why

  • PIF askedCompany self-onboarding; own offers and merchandise; time-limited vs long-term; seasonality; QR; seller portal.
  • CallBrian: "how they can onboard themselves if needed, or we can assist them."
  • CallTamer: offers make no money, which is why gift cards come first.

Employee and family: the Phase 1 POC

Ahmad and his family · prototype of the Merit app

What we present

  • SMS invite in the programme's name, for Ahmad's own employer. It does not say "PIF invited you".
  • Home in Arabic: membership card with tier, Ceer's items from scene 3 with real photos.
  • Redeem the QR that Ceer set up. This closes the loop in front of PIF.
  • Spend points on a Ceer gift card or merchandise.
  • Family: spouse without a cap; children with a monthly cap.
  • Shown in a mobile frame. Say it runs on the web or inside a mobile app.

Why

  • JulieSMS copy needs a programme name; Arabic, Saudi look, imagery; family cap on children only.
  • PIF askedQR codes, membership.
  • CallBrian: once 500,000 employees of PIF companies are in, Al Fursan and others want to connect to them. This is the Merit ID play.
  • CallA short run, not 30 clicks. It is proof, not the story.

Recognition for Human Capital

PIF Human Capital · deck, plus the Sales Incentive tool in a second tab

What we present

  • Recommended: open the Sales Incentive tool in a second tab. It is real. Talk through the Ceer dealer sales use case.
  • One deck slide for employee recognition: badges such as employee of the month, best seller, best team player. Labelled "coming".
  • The link to scene 2: badges and incentives pay out from the same funded budget.

Why

  • JulieHuman Capital is the sponsor; show badges without duplicating Super Platform.
  • JuliePIF was very interested in Sales Incentive; Ceer needs a sales strategy.
  • CallAlbadarneh: no employee engagement on Super Platform. Tamer: "I can show our sales incentive but maybe open up another tab."
  • CallAlbadarneh: the client funds the points and Merit makes a small margin on redemptions.

Revenue for PIF

Outside buyers · deck, plus one prototype screen of the Al Fursan shelf

What we present

  • Model 1, sell out: Ceer's catalog from scene 3 appears as a branded shelf in the Al Fursan store. A Saudia member pays with miles. Ceer gets a sale outside PIF. SAB is the next channel, on a slide.
  • Model 2, revenue share: PIF members buy on Merit's marketplace with points or cards. PIF gets a share of the margin, the way Al Fursan does today.
  • The dashboard shows both numbers.

Why

  • JulieThe 360 view: a PIF company selling outside PIF, for example in Al Fursan or SAB.
  • CallAlbadarneh: "a revenue generation platform similarly to Alforsan, not only rewards."
  • CallIzzeddin: show the ROI for PIF itself. Brian: the two revenue models.

Phases, then close

Presenter · deck

What we present

  • Phase 1: PIF companies sell in. PIF runs its programme with its own currency, white-label, on Merit's app so it starts fast.
  • Phase 2: subsidiaries run their own points and budgets. PIF can have its own Al Fursan-style store.
  • Phase 3: PIF company products sell in other channels: Al Fursan, SAB and more.
  • Close on the diagram from scene 0. Then stop talking.
  • If asked about hosting: separate hosting is possible. On-premises is a separate engineering session, which Julie arranges.

Why

  • CallBrian's phasing on the call: sell in, own store, other channels.
  • CallTamer: "PIF first, and then go to all the smaller subsidiaries." Izzeddin: subsidiaries could have their own points.
  • JuliePhase 1 is a POC inside a bigger story.

05What we say

The wording carries half of Julie's feedback, so it is part of the plan.

Positioning line

"PIF runs its programmes on the Merit Engagement Engine. You create your currency, your companies sell through it, and the same system earns revenue for them inside and outside PIF."

Super Platform is "the control center". Tamer's wording on value: the engine is "displaying value and orchestrating". Never "storing value", never "wallet". Lead with revenue, not discounts.
